Heater For The Rear

OK I just havent got it figured it out yet.

Last night it came on when I pushed the switch.Dont know what the outside temp was but I would guess max 10c. today it wouldnt come on.On my old petrol gal it would come on anytime.Am I missing something here?

what rear heater? the internal one or the external one? as the internal one should run what ever the external temp is?

The one you switch on from the dash and is controlled by the dials on the rear passenger side above the door panel

in that case it doesnt matter what the external temp is it should work? has someone turned it off at the roof controls?

No.I am starting to think dodgy switch

For technical reasons, the blower of the passenger compartment heater is switched off when the windscreen heating is switched on

Or maybe not.Worked last nite.Worked mid morn to-day going up to the supermarket.The approx 2hrs later going back to the supermarket with a faulty item it wouldnt work.The supermarket in question is far enough away to get the car up to full running temp.Now where is the icon for head scratching

when you say its works? in which way? the fan works and it kicks out heat or the fan doesnt work full stop? hence no heat output

When it works the Temp control works ,speed level works ie when it does work it works as it should but when it doesnt work .....well....the switch on the dash does not illuminate and the dials in the back do nothing and nothing comes out of the vents.I might take the switch out and have a look at the contacts.
